THE WOODLANDS.MOVING BIN RENTALS & LOCAL MOVE GUIDE.
A new place comes with a few new names. Your building contact. Your utility provider. The room that is finally an office. For a move in The Woodlands, get those details straight first. Then give your belongings a reusable ride to the next chapter.
STRAIGHT TO THE USEFUL STUFF
01 / BEFORE THE FIRST BIN
YOUR MOVE IN THE WOODLANDS. A LITTLE CLEARER.
Keep the organizations straight, and you can make a more useful move-in checklist. Township information and utility-account setup are not the same thing.
Identify the actual water provider.
The Township’s water information page explains that independent agencies and districts provide water and wastewater service. It lists Woodlands Water Agency and Harris-Montgomery Counties Municipal Utility District No. 386 among the relevant providers.
Do not assume one provider covers every Woodlands-area address. Verify the organization responsible for your new location before starting an account or following another resident’s utility instructions.
Use the right new-customer process.
If Woodlands Water is your provider, its New Customers page links the residential water and sewer application and the billing contact for new service. Use the provider’s current requirements and confirm the requested service-start date directly.
Keep the utility confirmation separate from lease, closing and rental-equipment dates. Each is its own arrangement. A change to temporary housing or your final address can mean revisiting more than one item on the checklist.
Pack for the destination you know.
If some belongings will go to temporary housing and others will stay packed, mark that distinction clearly. Keep a short list of which bins you will open first and which need to remain easy to identify.
Before planning a second stop or a different pickup location, confirm the actual arrangement. Both Frogbox addresses must be checked independently against the Hockley origin; a Woodlands-area label is not enough. For apartments, ask the building about loading access and elevators rather than assuming a village or property name tells the whole story.
02 / BOTH ENDS OF THE MOVE
TWO ADDRESSES. TWO SEPARATE CHECKS.
Houston-area coverage is measured from the Hockley origin. Each delivery and pickup address must independently be within 75 road miles. A city name or ZIP code alone does not confirm eligibility.
Road miles follow the driving route, not a straight line. This is not the distance between your old home and your new one.
First 15 miles
No distance charge for the first 15 road miles of each leg.
After 15 miles
$2 per road mile beyond 15, calculated separately for delivery and pickup.
Standard transport
Each leg costs $25 for 1–30 bins, $30 for 31–75, or $35 for 76–150. Delivery and pickup are both included in calculator and preset totals.
A distance-charge allowance is not a delivery-fee waiver. The calculator combines rental, additional weeks and standard transport. Extra distance, applicable access fees and tax are additional. Read the distance details and the transport-rate explanation.
03 / PACK YOUR ACTUAL LIFE
YOUR STUFF. YOUR MIX.
Make your first-night group suit the place you are actually arriving at. Bedding, everyday toiletries, chargers and basic kitchen items deserve clear labels. Keep keys, essential documents and other things you cannot afford to hunt for with you, not buried in the last stack.
$119 minimum for one week with standard delivery and pickup. Choose 1–150 bins, Large, Small or both. The base rates use everyday volume pricing, with a $69 first-week rental minimum. Additional-week rates plus extra distance, applicable access fees and tax are additional. Dollies are coming soon at $20 each for the first week. There is no XL bin.
04 / QUICK ANSWERS
GOOD QUESTIONS. LESS GUESSWORK.
Does The Woodlands Township open my water account?
No. The Township says it does not provide water or wastewater service. Confirm the agency or utility district for your address, then use that provider’s account process.
Where do I start service if Woodlands Water is my provider?
Its New Customers page links the residential water and sewer application and the billing contact. Confirm that it serves your address and follow the current requirements before relying on an activation date.
Can Frogbox collect from a different Woodlands address?
A different pickup address needs its own eligibility check. Both the delivery and pickup address must independently be within 75 road miles of the Hockley origin. A change is not confirmed merely because both addresses use The Woodlands name.
What details belong in my move-day plan?
Keep your building-access instructions, bin counts, route notes and agreed delivery or pickup details together. Check each handoff with the people involved.
