The address is the starting point. Not the neighborhood name. Not the nearest landmark. For your Cypress move, put the right utility contact, access instructions and room-by-room packing plan in one place. Less searching later. More settling in.
STRAIGHT TO THE USEFUL STUFF
01 / BEFORE THE FIRST BIN
YOUR MOVE IN CYPRESS. A LITTLE CLEARER.
A Cypress-area label can be useful for finding a place. The exact address is what you need to sort out the services and access that make a move work.
Find the district behind the address.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality offers a Water Districts Map Viewer with district records. Use it to research the new address, then confirm the actual water provider or operator directly. TCEQ notes that the mapped boundaries are approximate and informational.
Keep the district name, operator contact and requested service date together. This gives you a practical place to start without guessing that every Cypress address has the same utility setup.
Use community information narrowly.
If you are moving to Fairfield, the official Fairfield Municipal Utility Districts site has a district-identification map and separate water and trash/recycling information. That is a Fairfield resource, not a provider list for all of Cypress.
For another community, ask the property contact for its own current utility and collection details. Check gate and loading arrangements with the people responsible for that property. Do not assume one community’s instructions apply to the next.
Give both ends their own checklist.
Write one short access note for the delivery address and another for the pickup address: approved handoff location, parking instructions and who will receive or return the bins. Keep private access details off public notes.
Pack by the rooms in the new place, not just where things live now. Keep a count by bin size and leave time after moving day to unpack. A change to your plans is not a confirmed change to a Frogbox pickup.
02 / BOTH ENDS OF THE MOVE
TWO ADDRESSES. TWO SEPARATE CHECKS.
Houston-area coverage is measured from the Hockley origin. Each delivery and pickup address must independently be within 75 road miles. A city name or ZIP code alone does not confirm eligibility.
Road miles follow the driving route, not a straight line. This is not the distance between your old home and your new one.
First 15 miles
No distance charge for the first 15 road miles of each leg.
After 15 miles
$2 per road mile beyond 15, calculated separately for delivery and pickup.
Standard transport
Each leg costs $25 for 1–30 bins, $30 for 31–75, or $35 for 76–150. Delivery and pickup are both included in calculator and preset totals.
A distance-charge allowance is not a delivery-fee waiver. The calculator combines rental, additional weeks and standard transport. Extra distance, applicable access fees and tax are additional. Read the distance details and the transport-rate explanation.
03 / PACK YOUR ACTUAL LIFE
YOUR STUFF. YOUR MIX.
Start with one shelf or cupboard, then repeat. Keep books and dishes in manageable Small-bin loads and use Large for roomier belongings. If the new place has a different layout, make labels match its room names now. “Office” is more useful than “spare room at the old place.”
$119 minimum for one week with standard delivery and pickup. Choose 1–150 bins, Large, Small or both. The base rates use everyday volume pricing, with a $69 first-week rental minimum. Additional-week rates plus extra distance, applicable access fees and tax are additional. Dollies are coming soon at $20 each for the first week. There is no XL bin.
04 / QUICK ANSWERS
GOOD QUESTIONS. LESS GUESSWORK.
Is delivery free everywhere in Cypress?
No. The first 15 road miles of each leg have no distance charge, but that is not a promise of free delivery or pickup. Beyond 15 miles, the distance charge is $2 per road mile per leg. Standard transport is charged separately from distance and is already included in calculator totals.
How do I find the water district for a Cypress address?
Use the TCEQ Water Districts Map Viewer as a research starting point and confirm service with the district or operator. Map boundaries are approximate. For a Fairfield address, its official MUD site also provides district-identification and service information.
Does the Fairfield utility site cover all Cypress moves?
No. It is a resource for Fairfield’s municipal utility districts. For a different address, verify the responsible district or provider instead of reusing another community’s account or collection instructions.
Can I plan a move from Cypress to Houston?
You can plan the move, but Frogbox eligibility depends on both exact addresses independently being within 75 road miles of the Hockley origin. Delivery and pickup are checked separately.
