How does a Frogbox move work?

Make your mix of Large and Small bins. The bins come to you; you pack them, move your belongings and unpack at your next place. Then the empty bins get picked up.

How many bins will I need?

Start with what you actually own, not just the number of bedrooms. Walk through each room and count the things that need a bin: kitchen gear, clothes, books, bathroom bits and the cupboard you keep putting off.

Use Large for roomier loads and Small for heavier little things. Keep every packed bin comfortable to lift. No bin count can guarantee that a whole home will fit.

Can I rent just a few bins? Or only Small?

Yes. Choose 1–150 bins in total: Large, Small or any mix. There is no Large-bin minimum.

The first-week minimum is $119 with standard delivery and pickup. That includes the $69 rental minimum plus $25 for each transport leg. Tax, extra distance and applicable access fees are additional.

Where should I start planning my move?

Start with your bin mix, rental length and both addresses. Explore the sizes, try the rental estimate and keep your preferred dates handy.

What should I sort out before moving day?

A few things worth doing before the last-minute scramble:

  • Work out your bin mix and the time you need to unpack.
  • Check both your delivery and pickup locations against the Houston service area.
  • Keep everyday essentials, medicines, keys and important documents easy to reach.
  • Check your building’s loading access and lift rules.
  • Label by destination room, then keep a simple count of your bins.

This is a packing checklist, not a promise about delivery windows or building-access services.

How big are the bins?
Large
94 litres / 3.3 cubic feet
24 × 20 × 12 inches
Small
46 litres / 1.6 cubic feet
21 × 15 × 9 inches

Those are the two Frogbox sizes. There is no XL option.

What goes in Large, and what goes in Small?

Large: clothes, linens, kitchen gear and the lighter, roomier parts of your life.

Small: books, dishes and heavy little essentials. A smaller load can be easier to manage, but the weight still depends on what you put inside.

Mix the sizes to suit your stuff. You do not have to add Large bins to rent Small.

How do I avoid packing a bin too heavy?

Give the books a smaller ride. Split dense items across more bins rather than filling one to the top. Keep every load comfortable to lift and follow the load limits supplied with the actual equipment.

A bin’s volume tells you how much space is inside, not how much weight you should lift. Leave room if you need to.

What about dishes, glass and fragile things?

Wrap fragile items individually, protect corners and fill empty space so things cannot rattle around. Keep heavier pieces below lighter ones and use extra care with delicate belongings.

A reusable bin is a container, not a guarantee against breakage. Pack for the journey and keep the load manageable.

What is the easiest way to keep track of everything?

Give each bin a destination room and a short contents note. “Kitchen / daily mugs” beats “miscellaneous.” Keep a quick list on your phone or paper, and count your bins before and after the move.

Use removable labels supplied or approved for the bins; avoid writing directly on a rented bin or using permanent adhesive. Keep anything you need on day one easy to find.

Any tips for stacking and loading?

Keep loads balanced, heavier bins lower and access paths clear. Follow the stacking and load instructions supplied with your bins and any transport equipment.

Do not stand on bins, use damaged equipment or build a stack you cannot handle safely. Different sizes do not automatically make a stable stack together.

Why rent reusable bins?

The same bins can take another trip after yours. You pack, move and unpack, then return them rather than finding a permanent corner for a stack of moving boxes.

Use them for this chapter. Return them for the next. No need to make room for empty moving boxes after you unpack.

How should I get the bins ready for pickup?

Check every bin for belongings, remove your removable labels and gather the bins together. Keep your own count by size and make sure the agreed pickup location will be accessible.

Follow the pickup instructions that come with a confirmed booking. Confirm the pickup date, time window and handoff instructions.

What does the first week cost?

The base rates are $5 per Large bin and $4 per Small bin. Our everyday volume pricing counts the first $50 of that base rental in full, then counts the amount above $50 at 80%. A $69 first-week rental minimum applies.

Standard delivery and pickup start at $25 each, making the minimum first-week order $119 before tax, extra distance and applicable access fees.

Examples with standard delivery and pickup: 10 Large $119; 20 Large $140; 30 Large $180; 40 Large $230; 20 Small $124; 10 Large + 10 Small $132. These are one-week totals before tax, extra distance and applicable access fees. All prices are in US dollars.

How long is a rental week?

The minimum scheduled rental period is one week. Additional time is billed in full weeks: divide the total rental days by seven and round up.

  • 7 days: 1 week.
  • 8–14 days: 2 weeks.
  • 15–21 days: 3 weeks.

An extra day can move the rental into the next full week. Plan enough time for unpacking, too.

What do extra weeks cost?

The same additional-week ladder applies to both Large and Small bins:

  1. Week 2+$1 per bin
  2. Each of weeks 3 and 4+$1.50 per bin, per week
  3. Week 5 onward+$2 per bin, per week

Add each week’s charge to the weeks before it. The later rate does not replace or reprice earlier weeks.

Can you show me the rental math?

Take 10 Large + 5 Small for five weeks. Its $70 base subtotal becomes $66 under everyday volume pricing, so the $69 first-week rental minimum applies:

  1. First-week rental minimum$69
  2. Week 2: 15 bins × $1$15
  3. Week 3: 15 bins × $1.50$22.50
  4. Week 4: 15 bins × $1.50$22.50
  5. Week 5: 15 bins × $2$30

Bin rental: $159. Standard delivery: $25. Standard pickup: $25. Total: $209 before tax, extra distance and applicable access fees.

Does extending restart the rental or reprice weeks I paid for?

No. Added time continues from the original rental start. Only the added weeks are charged; weeks already paid for do not restart or get repriced.

Example: if 10 Large + 5 Small are already paid through week 2, adding weeks 3 and 4 adds 15 × $1.50 × 2 = $45 in bin rental. It does not trigger another first-week charge.

This explains the pricing, not an automatic extension or an approved change to a pickup date.

What does the calculator total include?

The calculator includes first-week rental, additional rental weeks, standard delivery and standard pickup.

Tax, distance charges beyond the first 15 road miles of each leg, and applicable access fees are additional. Check address eligibility and the complete price before payment.

Are there fixed bundles or bedroom packages?

Our starting mixes are shortcuts, not a separate price list. Each preset uses the same everyday formula as building your own mix, including standard delivery and pickup.

Choose a starting mix, then adjust Large, Small and rental length. A bedroom count is only a rough planning guide, not a promise that everything will fit.

Where will Frogbox deliver in Houston?

The Houston market is measured from the Hockley warehouse. Delivery and pickup must each be within 75 road miles of that origin.

Road miles follow the driving route, not a straight line on the map. A Houston-area city name alone does not confirm that an address is eligible.

Can delivery and pickup be at different addresses?

That is how a move usually goes. For a Houston move, check each address separately against the Hockley warehouse: each must be within 75 road miles.

The mileage is not the distance between your old place and your new place. Each leg has its own distance calculation and charges.

How are distance charges calculated?

Calculate delivery and pickup separately, each from the Hockley warehouse:

  • First 15 road miles of each leg: no distance charge.
  • Beyond 15 road miles: $2 per road mile.
  • Maximum service distance: 75 road miles for each leg.

Example: a 25-road-mile delivery adds $20 in distance charges. A 10-road-mile pickup adds $0 in distance charges. That example is $20 in distance charges only, not a $20 total for delivery and pickup.

Does being within 15 miles mean free delivery?

No. The first 15 road miles remove only the distance charge for that leg.

Standard transport is charged per leg by total bin count: 1–30 bins costs $25 for delivery + $25 for pickup; 31–75 costs $30 + $30; 76–150 costs $35 + $35.

Distance charges beyond 15 road miles per leg and applicable access fees are additional. Standard delivery and pickup are already included in the calculator and preset totals, so do not add them a second time.

What about Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth or San Antonio?

Frogbox serves eligible Houston-area addresses. Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth and San Antonio are coming soon.

Do not plan an out-of-market return based on a city name or a map pin.

How does the rental calculator work?

Choose 1–150 Large and Small bins in any mix, then set your rental length. The calculator applies everyday first-week volume pricing and the $69 rental minimum, adds the unchanged additional-week ladder, and includes standard delivery and pickup.

Tax, extra distance and applicable access fees are additional. Selecting a starting mix uses the same formula and keeps your chosen rental length.

A payment failed or froze. Does that mean I was not charged?

Not necessarily. A failed screen is not enough to tell you whether a bank has placed a temporary hold or whether a payment completed.

Check for an order confirmation and check the payment status with your bank or card provider. Do not keep retrying just because the page failed, and do not assume a booking is confirmed without confirmation.

If a charge appears, verify which merchant and transaction it relates to before taking the next step.

Can I add a dolly or an XL bin?

Dollies are coming soon and cannot be booked. The first-week dolly price will be $20 each.

There is no XL bin in this Frogbox lineup. Choose Large, Small or a mix of the two.

What if I need to cancel?

For an existing order, check the cancellation policy accepted with that order. Have your order reference and confirmed delivery date ready when you contact the team.

Keep a record of your request and check the cancellation confirmation for the outcome and any refund details.

Can I change the delivery date?

Have your order reference, current delivery and pickup dates, and preferred replacement dates ready. Ask the team to confirm availability and any price changes.

A requested change is not the same as a confirmed one. Check the updated confirmation before changing your moving plans.

Do I get a refund if I return the bins early?

Check the terms accepted with your order and ask the team about your specific rental before arranging an early return.

Have your order reference, confirmed pickup date and preferred return date ready. Ask for the pickup arrangement and any refund outcome to be confirmed.

Will the driver bring bins inside?

Choose the handoff access for delivery and pickup separately. Standard lobby access has no surcharge. Unit-door service is $10 per stair flight per leg, or $20 per elevator-to-unit-door leg. Those two fees do not stack on the same leg. Drivers bring the equipment to the approved unit door, not into the rooms inside your home or business.

Follow the instructions in your confirmed order. Do not assume unattended collection is arranged.

What if a bin is damaged, lost or needs extra cleaning?

Set aside equipment that appears damaged or unsafe and contact the team. Have your order reference, affected bin size and quantity, and a short description ready.

For a cleaning, repair or loss question, ask for an itemized explanation and any supporting records. Do not send card numbers or other account secrets.

What if the bins are not ready for pickup?

Get the empty, unnested bins together, remove your removable labels and leave Frogbox ownership marks in place.

If pickup cannot go ahead as arranged, contact the team with your order reference and confirmed pickup details. Ask what needs to happen next and whether any change affects the price.

What if I need to keep the bins longer?

Request an extension before the confirmed pickup and do not assume the date has changed until the change is confirmed. The additional-week ladder explains rental pricing, not automatic approval to keep the bins.

Have your bin count and preferred new pickup date ready, then check the updated price and confirmation.
